Moldova is one of the oldest wine regions in the world, with traditions stretching back millennia. Thanks to its favorable climate, diverse soils, and unique geographical location, the country produces wines with a well-defined character and identity.
Among the most iconic indigenous varieties are Fetească Regală, Fetească Neagră, and Rară Neagră, which shape the identity of modern Moldovan wine. They are complemented by international varieties, resulting in balanced and memorable wines.
This master class will present the philosophy of the VINUM Estate Winery and the evolution of Moldovan wines in a modern context. Participants will explore the unique characteristics of local grape varieties, the stylistic profile of the wines, and the synergy between nature, tradition, and contemporary winemaking, through a selection of wines reflecting the Moldovan terroir and the winery’s signature blends.

Nine generations later, thanks to his passion and years of experience, the Moldovan wines of VINUM Estate have become increasingly popular with the public.

In 2015, he revived the family legacy under the name VINUM Estate, marking the beginning of its modern era.
